My web work varies from small web icons to large multipage and interlinking sites. Here are some of the various web elements and pages I have created.

Intel Open Source Technology Center

Intel contracted me to play an integral part in the design and functionality of the Intel Open Source community website 01.org. I designed iconography and navigation for the site from the ground up to be responsive. The design is clean and elegant so as to not detract from the projects featured on 01.org.

Intel AppUp website advertising

Intel’s propriety client AppUp was not only a downloadable client application, it was was supported by a website. Before a customer downloaded AppUp, they could browse all available apps and read about what services AppUp offered. Advertising was placed throughout the AppUp website to entice new customers to download the client. Each piece of advertising needed to be in multiple sizes. The challenge here was to keep the integrity of the ad while designing within a wide variety of specifications. As you can see from the below example, I created the same ad in three drastically different sizes but each retains the same message. The look and feel is the same on all three as well despite the vastly different sizes. For web services, people can check out Brisbane web development services.

Along with ads for AppUp, I did many more different types of graphics for a variety of apps. Each graphic I created had to stand on its own but at the same time hold true to the brand and identity of the app it was advertising. Many times I created more than 5 different size ads for each ad.

I was also responsible for creating alternate language versions for any advertising that was used to promote a sale or highlight a featured app. Languages included American English, UK English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian. Each language has a different length of text to say the same thing. I had to make sure that the integrity of the ad stayed intact while each language translation was created.

Intel App Up Carousel

Intel contracted HDH to be its sole designer for applications wishing to be sold through Intel’s proprietary app store called AppUp. It was my responsibility to create graphics for the in app carousel, which highlighted new and featured apps. I was also responsible for creating all graphic icons for all apps on AppUp. I created a process so that I could efficiently create new icons whenever new apps were added to AppUp.

AppUp evolved over the time I was working with Intel. I became the go to person for any testing of new advertising ideas. I also created numerous Powerpoint presentations and marketing material to promote these new ideas.

PM Industries Website Redesign

Client: PM Industries, inc. Manufacturer of hi-tech components

Challenge: To rebuild the company website that had been neglected for many years. The goal to was to modernize the website along side the refresh of the PM Industries brand. The website needed to be modern, fresh and engaging without too much distraction. I chose to go with a 3 column design that allows the user to access and read information easily. With it’s competitors growing exponentially every year, PM Industries needed a refreshed website to once again become the leader in it’s industry of manufacturing parts for the most advanced technologies and set itself apart from it’s competition. I chose to design the website as a brochure style to be the most informative.

Solution: I worked with PM Industries throughout the entire process of ideation, conceptualization, design, and implementation. I was a constant source of information and support for anything they needed me for including design, copywriting, and photography. I managed the client relations and the entire process from start to finish. PM Industries was stuck in the past. The only way they could move forward was to refresh their brand and their website to make it more accessible to their clientele. The home page of the site has an engaging rotator. This image rotator highlights PM Industries services and philosophies. It is the first impression that brings the viewer in and encourages the reader to continue to read. The site also allows for the visitor to be able to contact the sales staff with questions about services. The site has been very successful in increasing leads and increasing awareness of the multitude of services PM Industries offers.

Dewey’s Frozen Yogurt Website

Client: Dewey’s Frozen Yogurt website design and illustration

Challenge: I was contracted by Spot Color Studio to create a website for Dewey’s Frozen Yogurt. The site needed to be colorful and engaging. The site needed to have something that was a focal point of interest that could give character to site. That character needed to be focused around the identity of Dewey’s Frozen Yogurt, Dewey the dog.

Solution: I worked with Spot Color Studio to design an entire look and feel of the website including illustrated graphics, navigation and Flash animated character. The concept was creating a website with bright colors to keep the visitor engaged. The site included menus, specials, news, and events. To increase engagement and appeal of the site, I created a Flash animated character that appeared when the site loaded. Dewey the dog was the mascot of Dewey’s Frozen Yogurt. He was represented in the logo as a silhouette. I gave life to Dewey by creating the animated illustration.
